I agree bring back the DAF. I have a 1972 DAF 33 as an everyday car, brilliant fun and still as economical as when it was built. It can do 45mpg, and copes with both town driving and motorways. Bring back DAF :)

Great idea, bring The Daf Back!
Unfortunately, most originals were thrashed during the famous demolition derby 'Achteruitrijden'.
http://bin.ilsemedia.nl/m/m1dy974whiwf.jpg
mainly because the Dafs were equipped with the infamous 'variomatic' transmission system –the so-called 'pientere pookje', clever clutch,– which allowed the car to drive just as fast backwards as forwards.

See them go:

The NeoDaf could very well go back to their original logo:

As for the colours: they could actually be the first to use MATTE finish on their cars. Soft, natural colours with an egg-shell shine. And brushed aluminium. :-)

Or even be really Eco-Retro-Neo-Regio Trendy, and re-issue their hand-made, wicker basket style beach car, The topless 'Daf Kini'
