and the winner is...

Here's a picture (again taken by the talented mr. Hanswijk) of an exhibition
we made for the Maaskant Award, a prestigious academy award that can be
won once a year by Rotterdam Willem de Kooning post graduates. Gyz —a
certified Rotterdam post graduate— was nominated, so we cycled off to the
academy that was once ‘ours’ and made this exhibition/installation of all the
printed matter we made in two years time. Some with reference to other
stuff we do such as the ‘Knakendisco’, the design for ‘Krakatau’ or all the
stuff we made in the past for the smallest Gallery in Rotterdam, called
De Aanschouw. Guess what, Gyz won the damn thing... Some people
couldn’t believe it. I, on the other hand, would not have believed otherwise.
And you can quote me on that one!
